Message: Looking at your paintings I was reminded of these lines from Rollo May: "Creativity arises out of the tension between spontaneity and limitations, the latter (like the river banks) forcing the spontaneity into the various forms which are essential to the work of art or poem." I would like to see many more of your paintings! Ronna

Message: I found the link to your site on an art forum, were a few of your fans were discussing your work, and I visited your site to make up my mind by myself. I must admit that like your paintings. But it is difficult for me to understand how to get from sound to such paintings. You explain it well, but still, it's amazing!

Message: I'm working with sounds and know about spectrography, so I would say that your paintings are sensible interpretations of sound. They seem to render the movements, conflicts, stabilities and other strong aspects of the speakers emotions. You certainly have a feeling for colors and forms, and a 'controlled imagination'.

Message: I think Einstein said "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science." You work made me think of it. How can sounds produce such paintings? Or is it the sounds heard by the painter's ear?

Message: According to Monet, colors are the artist's day-long obsession, joy and torment. This is the least I can say, looking at your paintings. There is something very pleasant about them, but is it YOU, or does it come from the sound, the subject, or has it been generated by the computer? 'It is important to express oneself, provided the feelings are real and are taken from you own experience'. (B. Morisot)

Message: I'm not an unconditional admirer of abstract art. Most of modern painters think that aesthetic beauty - or ugliness - defines art by itself. But your work is different. An artist should help us to perceive some aspect of what it means to be human and shows us different ways to perceive the world. The emotions that matter are timeless and could have occurred anytime, anywhere, in the past or the future. If abstract painting is used to explore such matters, such as I understand you do your work, then it complies to the definition of art. I'll come back from time to time to see how your work evolves. Message: It seems that you approach painting from the other side. Miro said 'I try to apply colors like words that shape poems, like notes that shape music.' You shape poems and words with colors and forms. But I got the feeling that you still have a lot to discover. Good work, go on like that!

Message: Most painters decompose and recompose, some of them stop using colors and forms altogether, to paint the black or blue nothingness of their world, or stop reading their surroundings to paint the precise replication of their banality. Perhaps you open another world, at least you took the right direction. Keep going that way.
